Annual Crystal Lake Disability Pride Event

Each year, Z Advocacy hosts the Crystal Lake Disability Pride Event at McHenry County College — a fully accessible celebration of the beauty, diversity, and lived experiences of people with disabilities. The event features live entertainment, community vendors, essential resources, and more.

Venue & Accessibility

All events take place at McHenry County College (MCC), located at 8900 US Route 14, Crystal Lake, IL 60012. Activities are held inside Building B — Luecht Auditorium, Cafeteria, and Commons.

  • Free parking for all attendees, including ADA-accessible stalls adjacent to Building B.
  • Wheelchair-accessible pathways throughout all event spaces.
  • ASL interpreters at the main stage (sponsorship-dependent).
  • Sensory-friendly quiet zones with dimmed lighting and minimal noise.
  • Service animals welcome in all event spaces.
  • Pace Bus routes serve the MCC campus.
